ENGINE CADET

We are seeking motivated Engine Cadets to join our JCL Maritime Global Ambassador Programme for training aboard ocean-going vessels under approved international shipowners/managers. The Engine Cadet will work under the supervision of the Chief Engineer and engineering officers to gain hands-on experience in machinery operations, maintenance, and engine room watchkeeping, in line with STCW training requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Assist with engine room watchkeeping duties under supervision • Participate in maintenance and repair of main engines, auxiliary machinery, and pumps • Monitor engine room systems including fuel, cooling, and lubrication systems • Complete required onboard training tasks and record book (Training Record Book) • Assist with safety drills, firefighting, and pollution prevention procedures • Support engineering officers with fault-finding and reporting
