• Employer and company data — where you register as an employer: company name, contact details, logo, location, and related company information.
• Application and recruitment data — the jobs you apply for, application status, saved jobs, job alerts, and information exchanged during the recruitment process.
• Payment information — when you make a payment, transactions are processed by our payment provider (Paystack). We receive confirmation and reference details, but we do not collect or store your full card details.
• Communications — messages you send through the in-platform chat, enquiries you submit through contact or service-request forms, and related correspondence.
• Sign-in provider data — if you choose to sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive basic profile information (such as your name and email) from that provider.
• Technical data — limited information such as your IP address, browser type, and activity on the Platform, including information collected through cookies as described in our Cookie Policy.

We use your personal data to:

• Create and manage your account and provide the Platform's features
• Match candidates with employers and process job applications
• Deliver training, recruitment, and marine or business services you request

• Performance of a contract — to provide the services you have requested and operate your account
• Consent — where you have given clear consent, for example to share your profile with an employer (you may withdraw consent at any time)
• Legitimate interests — to keep the Platform secure, prevent fraud, and improve our services, provided your rights are not overridden
• Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with the law

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary, including with:

• Employers — candidate profiles and application data are shared with the relevant employer solely for evaluating you for a specific role
• Delivery partners — where you request marine, training, or business services, we coordinate delivery through our vetted partner network
• Payment provider — Paystack, to process online payments securely
• Service providers — trusted providers who help us operate the Platform (for example hosting and email delivery), under appropriate confidentiality obligations
• Authorities — where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process

Employers who receive candidate data must use it only for the advertised role and must not share, sell, or repurpose it without the candidate's explicit consent.

6. Data Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it. You may request deletion of your account and data as described below.

Under the NDPA, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
• Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission
