We are seeking a qualified Third Engineer to join international vessels under our host employer partnerships. The Third Engineer will be responsible for engine room watchkeeping, machinery maintenance, and supervision of junior engineering staff, reporting to the Chief Engineer and Second Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Keep safe engine room watch and monitor machinery performance
• Carry out maintenance and repair of auxiliary machinery, boilers, and pumps
• Assist with bunkering operations and fuel management
• Supervise engine cadets and junior ratings during watch
• Ensure compliance with MARPOL, ISM, and pollution prevention procedures
• Maintain accurate engine room logs and records
Requirements
Valid Third Engineer CoC (STCW III/1) or equivalent
Valid seaman's discharge book and passport
Medical fitness certificate (ENG1 or equivalent)
Minimum seagoing experience as required by flag state
Strong technical troubleshooting and leadership skills
