What you'll learn

The Designated Security Officer (DSD) course trains officers assigned specific security duties on board or ashore to carry out their responsibilities effectively under the ISPS Code.

What You Will Learn

  1. Security duties and obligations of the Designated Security Officer
  2. Identifying and responding to security threats
  3. Maintaining security records and reporting procedures
  4. Co-ordinating with Ship and Company Security Officers
  5. Security drills and training of ship's crew


Delivery & Certification

Three days of instruction delivered by certified maritime security professionals. Certification meets ISPS Code and STCW security training requirements.
