What you'll learn

The Medical First Aid (MFA) course trains seafarers to provide immediate and effective medical care to injured or ill persons on board before professional medical assistance is available.

What You Will Learn

  1. Assessment of casualties and triage procedures
  2. CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) use
  3. Management of fractures, burns, bleeding, and shock
  4. Medication administration and patient monitoring at sea


Delivery & Certification

Over three days of practical and theoretical instruction, participants develop hands-on skills assessed under STCW Table A-VI/4-1 requirements. Certification is recognised internationally by all flag states.
