What you'll learn
The PSCRB course qualifies seafarers to take charge of and operate survival craft and rescue boats during emergencies, meeting STCW Regulation VI/2 requirements.
What You Will Learn
- Types and operation of lifeboats, rescue boats, and liferafts
- Launching, recovering, and manoeuvring survival craft
- Survival craft equipment, pyrotechnics, and signalling devices
- Search and rescue procedures and man-overboard response
- Maintenance and inspection of survival craft and rescue boats
Delivery & Certification
Five days of intensive practical training including wet drills and boat-handling exercises. Certification qualifies participants as cox'n of a survival craft or rescue boat.
