What you'll learn

The PSCRB course qualifies seafarers to take charge of and operate survival craft and rescue boats during emergencies, meeting STCW Regulation VI/2 requirements.

What You Will Learn

  1. Types and operation of lifeboats, rescue boats, and liferafts
  2. Launching, recovering, and manoeuvring survival craft
  3. Survival craft equipment, pyrotechnics, and signalling devices
  4. Search and rescue procedures and man-overboard response
  5. Maintenance and inspection of survival craft and rescue boats


Delivery & Certification

Five days of intensive practical training including wet drills and boat-handling exercises. Certification qualifies participants as cox'n of a survival craft or rescue boat.
