What you'll learn

The Ship Security Officer (SSO) course trains designated officers to develop, implement, and maintain the Ship Security Plan in accordance with the ISPS Code and STCW requirements.

What You Will Learn

  1. Roles and responsibilities of the Ship Security Officer
  2. Conducting ship security assessments and audits
  3. Developing and reviewing the Ship Security Plan (SSP)
  4. Threat recognition, security equipment, and incident reporting
  5. Liaising with the Company Security Officer and port facilities


Delivery & Certification

Three days of focused instruction delivered by certified maritime security professionals. Certification meets STCW Table A-VI/5 and ISPS Code requirements.
